Description
This version of the Groundies classic is the new Barefoot+ (wider) model. Amsterdam is light and airy, can be combined in a variety of ways and, thanks to its wide toe box, provides extra space and freedom of movement in the toe area. The casual sneaker is made of robust yet supple goatskin leather and breathable OnSteam® lining made of microfiber. The original TrueSense® GO1 barefoot sole is flat, extremely thin and can be bent in all directions. So you enjoy freedom of movement and direct contact with the ground with every step.

These are so comfortable. My feet are enjoying having room, especially my broad toes. I also have a narrow heel and these shoes don’t slip at all.

They look cool, seem well made, however they're not that comfortable, the tongue area rubs on the top of my foot no matter how I adjust it, meaning I can't wear these shoes for too long, and they can't be my everyday shoes. I don't know what it is, maybe it's the type of material? Also the canvas bleached very easily after I gave it one spot clean and scrub with soap. It just lost all the colour in that area, 2 months in my new shoes look about 2 years old, and I can see the canvas just beginning to fade in other areas by itself. which feels like bad quality material to me as I've never had a shoe do that before. Groundies replied a little to late with a "oh yeah btw don't wash them with soap, just use water thanks byeeeee". I feel like if a material can't handle soap it should be very clearly labelled on the shoe or in the box. I wouldn't recommend these shoes.

We will look to update our cleaning details on the website, this being said we are always happy to answer any questions about products, so would have welcomed the question prior to the shoes being cleaned.
We did reach out to Groundies for you after you alerted us by email to your cleaning issue as we have not had the same issue arise before. As per the feedback supplied, Groundies suggested that using cleaning agents such as soap are not designed or recommended due to the ingredients in them that will attack the structure of the material. They would recommend cleaning with water only.
